Turkiye has become a major regional actor in the past decades in the Balkans, the Caucasus and the Middle East. Its diplomatic and military activities have a major impact on its neighbouring regions. This workshop, organised by the Institute for Strategic and Defence Studies, intends to give an opportunity for PhD students and young researchers to introduce their newest Turkey-related scientific researches. We particularly welcome applications from the fields of Area Studies, Geopolitics, International Relations, Modern History, Political Science and Security Studies.
At the workshop, the participants will have twenty minutes to present their research and answer questions. Participants should submit a ca. 1000 character-long abstract of the prospective presentation by 10 March 2023 to egeresi.zoltan@uni-nke.hu. The abstract shall primarily focus on the methodology, the structure and the main findings of the research. The event will be held in English.
